The course is very similar to the one that will be used at the 2010 NYSSRA Champs at the end of February. Expect to see some heavy hitters getting a sneak peak of the course. Mike Wynn is the four time defending champion (he was last beaten in 2004 by Curt Schreiner), will this be the year that someonelse claims the crown?

Races this weekend!

The club will be holding two summer biathlon races this weekend.  On Saturday we will hold a sprint race, all classes will again run the 4.2 km race.  On Sunday we will hold a 2 x 4.2 km relay race. If you don’t have a partner for the relay, don’t worry we’ll find someone for you the day of the race.

You can enter online at:

And for those who aren’t satisfied with only one race on Sunday, we will hold the 1 km biathlon challenge after the race. This one will be fast, run 300 m shoot 5 prone shots, run 300 m shoot 5 standing shots, run 300 m to the finish. For each miss you will be assesed a 10 s penalty.

Don’t forget to bring your bathing suits, the water is great right now.  Look for a post on the Run-Pedal-Tube triathlon held on Hadley this past Saturday coming later today.
