The course is very similar to the one that will be used at the 2010 NYSSRA Champs at the end of February. Expect to see some heavy hitters getting a sneak peak of the course. Mike Wynn is the four time defending champion (he was last beaten in 2004 by Curt Schreiner), will this be the year that someonelse claims the crown?

Biathlon Officials Clinic

The club will be hosting a biathlon officials clinic on Sunday January 10th at Curt and Deb’s house. Anyone who participates in this clinic and passes the open book test will receive their USBA level 1 certification. The clinic will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at about 3:00 PM.

Improve Your Skating Technique

On Monday December 28th we will be holding a one day cross country ski clinic focusing on skating. The clinic is open to skiers of all abilities and ages.

The clinic will start at 10:00 AM and run into the early afternoon.

Coaching will be provided by:
  • Curt Schreiner – Three time Olympic Biathlete
  • Tom Moffett – 2008 US Masters Biathlon Pursuit Champion
  • Sean Halligan – Member of multiple All National Guard Biathlon teams
You can sign up online through skireg.com. Register early, as we will limit the number of openings to ensure that clinic is as effective as possible. The cut off will likely be between 35 and 45 skiers max. The fee for the clinic is just $10 (non NYSSRA/ NENSA members must add $5 for a one day membership). This fee can be paid the day of the clinic.

The clinic is of course snow dependant. If there are any changes to the clinic we will send out an email to all registered participants, as well as post the info on this website.
