Conditions should be excellent for the Shenendahowa classic and the Great Sacandaga Mini Marathon this weekend.<\/p>\n

The weekend starts with the Shenendahowa Classic, a race organized by the Shenendahowa Nordic Club<\/a>. Open and masters ski 10 k, juniors ski 5 km. Registration is available at skireg.com <\/a>through 10:00 PM tonight.<\/p>\n

Sunday features the Great Sacandaga Mini Marathon, a 30 km skate race. Registration is available at skireg.com <\/a>through 4:00 PM on Friday. Day of race registration will also be available at a slightly higher fee. This year we are also giving competitors the option of competing in a half distance race (the micro marathon?) Anyone may sign up for the 15 km race, however only juniors will be eligible for awards.<\/p>\n

The course is very similar to the one that will be used at the 2010 NYSSRA Champs <\/a>at the end of February. Expect to see some heavy hitters getting a sneak peak of the course.
