This is an individual format race, four shooting stops (prone, standing, prone, standing) and a one minute penalty per miss.See the table below for specifics on race distances.<\/p>\n<p>Beginners are welcome, we will provide rifles and ammunition, as well as safety training. Novices must have their own skis. The minimum age to compete is 13. Novices will ski a shorter race, (6 km with two shooting stops &#8211; prone, prone). Competitors in the Novice\u00a0 class and Boy\/ Girl class do not ski with the rifle.
